Meditation Apps

Meditation Apps

Everyone deserves to relax. A stress-free and relaxed lifestyle is much healthier than living with anxiety and tension. It’s no secret that our busy lives don’t often allow us the luxury to simply loosen up or unknot, and because of that we have to find ways and time to unwind.

One of the most effective ways to relax is meditating, but due to the nature of mediation it’s not something you can simply pick up and do. Luckily, we live in the modern world where learning how to meditate is knowledge you can access with a few presses of a button. There are plenty of applications that do just that – help you meditate – and here are some of the best ones.

Headspace

Platforms: Android, iOS

An excellent beginner and newbie-friendly app that helps you understand just how meditation works and how to achieve it. It’s focused on 10-minute meditation exercises that are known as Take10, and they help both the already-healthy part of the population suffering from routine stress, and the clinical population suffering from anxiety, depression, insomnia, etc.

Fun fact: Headspace is openly supported by Emma Watson the world-renowned actress from Harry Potter.

Insight Timer

An app that features over 6000 free guided meditations from over a 1000 meditation practitioners, Insight Timer allows you to fully customize your meditative experience with background sounds and intervals from your own choosing. It’s one of the most popular meditation apps, and it’s completely free – there are no subscriptions or lockdowns of any kind.

Breathe2Relax

This is an app by the National Center for Telehealth and Technology and it’s a portable stress management tool which provides detailed information on the effect that stress has on the body.
